Hey I Got A Problem With My Car Again...i Fixed The Engine, But...it Start And Reach 3000rpm And Then Turn Down I Dont Know Why,does The Car Some Security System?? The Problem Is That Here In El Salvador Its Weird Get Vw 1.8 Turbo, And Nobody Has The Electric Diagram...so Please If Somebody Has Inyection, Electric, And Other One Diagram Send To Me I Will Thank All My Life.

Same here ! I really hope someone can help.......my 01 has SERIOUS electrical issues, but I am new to VW so I dont know where to begin. The positive lead going to the fuse box on top of battery when connected, powers EVERYTHING with the key OUT of the car. lol. I was able to disable my DRLs but after sitting all nite I noticed the battery was significantly drained. I know that I am able to turn on the radio, wipers, ac/heater etc with the key out of the ignition and I know that this is not normal. So any help is GREATLY appreciated. If I could potentially get a full diagram for the car I would have something to start tinkering with. You need a new ignition switch (just the electrical portion, not the keyed part). It's a common failure on Mk4 VWs.
