I don't think you will have too much to worry about, I did mine at around 40K .... have 77K now. You will more than likely burn out your clutch a little faster, but they don't seem to last all that well anyway.

Vac lines, all clamps for the boost plumbing, condition of anything rubber that has to do with boost. Other than that there isn't anything you really have to check.
Be sure to change your trans fluid between 40K and 60K miles. VW's Lifetime ATF is not really lifetime. Whith more power comes more heat for the trans, so keep up on its maintenance.
