Default Lemmiwinks, software “crack” for tuners..

OMG, this software is “DANGEROUS”!! Wow, what a nice drive I had earlier this evening after spending some time with the laptop and the Lemmiwinks software program.

For those with a VAG-COM serial cable you can download this free software created by REVO and make actual changes to your CPU's adaptation channels.

Here are a couple of the download sites:

Download Lemmiwinks Now from Ecodetuning

Download Lemmiwinks Now from Unixprohost

I am also adding a couple of great threads on other boards that have already explained in clear, no BS detail what this software is for and how to use it.

Tonight I added some RPM’s to my idle to smooth out the vibrations from those VF Engineering mounts, and played with the fuel mix while on and off the throttle. Noticeable difference folks, almost feels like I “chipped” the car.

No kidding…

Take some time and read through these, then go out and have some fun..

definately a good program to have. We have made some minor adjustments to my brothers s4 before. Just be careful and make sure you read everything before just messing around. You can hurt your car if you don't use common sense.

This is what I think of when I see Lemmiwinks:

I've known about this forever, but I've always wondered: Do u need to have REVO ECU software installed to use this?

Yeah, but this thread isn't about me or APR.

Actually I'm limited to 7200rpm now, APR always plays it safe...

I've attempted tweeking w/Lemmiwinks a few years ago with the downloads from the 'tex, and I couldn't make the changes because I have APR upgrades.
My guess is it works w/ stock or REVO.

So basically it works with everything BUT APR... I'm glad they don't make TDI software. REVO for the win (followed by GIAC). I used this on my 2.0 to increase the idle, and up the timing a bit for mid-grade fuel, all said and done the car was noticably faster on acceleration and got a little better gas mileage. I opted for this over the GIAC 2.0L software chip.

i was under the impression that it would work on cars flashed with apr, but not work for cars with a chip from apr.

This is basically what I did as well. Increased the on-throttle fuel load to 105%, decreased the off-throttle fuel load to 95%, decreased the crusing-throttle fuel load to 97%, upped the idle RPM's by 100, and advanced the timing by 2.25 degrees.

Expected outcomes are better power from the engine and better fuel economy. Nice bonus...

I have an APR chip sitting in a box at the house, but I may be putting the install of it off for a while. The old "butt" dyno is lov'n the changes I made.

I will have to take it to a real dyno to verify.

BTW, if you read through the VWFixx threads, it "say's" it works with APR (as well as GIAC, REVO, etc..), but it sounds like CA Solt has had a different experience.

So, if anyone else has played with this stuff, post-up!

TechnoTrix'd...

Once I get a cheap laptop I will get vagcom/ V-tune and smooth out my APR "Pig Rich" 5000+ rpms. Im sure once I get that afr curve straight all he way through I will be able to pick up a few more horsepower and not get the backfiring when i shift.

Can't agree more with this statement from Josh! My neighbor is a long time gearhead and build's race-cars as a hobbie.

I consulted with him before I made any changes, and definately went very conservative for my initial tweeks. If you go crazy with some of these settings, you will destroy your engine. Period!

Until I can get some logs from VAG-COM, I am not going to take my tweeking any further.

Have fun......

Hey Bill,

Actually, what it allows you to do is modify the adaptation channel #07 (Additive Offset To Speed Limiter) -128 kmh to + 127 kmh in 1km/h increments.

So, by adding km/h to this chanel, it in effect increases your rev limter accross all gears.

So, you could also do the opposite if you were going to give the car to a first time teenage driver. You could knock down the km/h's to prevent them from getting too stupid with it..

(Yeah, like we've never done that..........)
