Default Exhaust Tips

Does anyone know if this item below will fit the exhaust pipes of a 2004 Convertible 1.8T?

http://www.patrickaccessories.com/pr...str=1C0071910U

My pipes look like this, and turn straight down:

They fit, I usta ahve 'em when I first got the vert. Make sure they're screwed on TIGHT, spot welding is even better, as they eventually get crooked.

OK, I'll go ahead and order it...the angle of the exhaust vs. the angle where the connect looks like they'd almost drag the ground, don't they?

By the way, when I was under the car, I took this photo as well...should I be concerned about what looks like rust and corrosion, or is this normal?

Thanks for your reply,
Kenny

The end butts up against the muffler, they won't hang down too low.

I dunno, I'll hafta look at mine to see if it looks like that, I think we have a 10-year rust warranty.

I got mine at: http://www.patrickaccessories.com/pr...str=1C0071910U

Takes about 5 minutes tops to put 'em on. Just tighten 2 bolts. Instructions said to check on them every 3,000 miles or so to make sure they're still tight if you don't weld them.

Yes, u paid a bit less than the dealer, but u still paid way 2 much. I always check e-bay first b4 I buy something : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VW-Vo...QQcmdZViewItem

BTW, check the bolts every few days for the 1st week or so, I dropped one in a car wash once.

There's not much you can do with the plate number even if you have access to MV records. Maybe find out where you live? Find out your real name? I really don't care, and the address listed in MV records is NOT where I physically live anyway :0) So I post my pix with plates.
Just don't peeve off any cops in here and you'll be fine.

Yes, Patrick Accessories had those available too:

http://www.patrickaccessories.com/pr...cid=7&scid=139

I decided to go with the ones I bought, though...The more expensive ones looked bigger in the photos, but I could be wrong.

I checked eBay for weeks but they never had the ones I wanted.
