Default Looking For A Good VW Mechanic

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a good mechanic in the Canton/Louisville/Akron Ohio area. I'd like to have my timing belt and serpentine belt replaced, and my warranty won't cover the charges. I used to take my VW's to a guy in Canton, but he's since went out of business.

I know about George's Foreign Car Repair in North Canton, and I will not take another VW to his shop.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Please move this thread if I've posted in the wrong section of the forums.

Thanks!
Lisa

check the regional forums on vwvortex. they have a larger user base and you'll have a better chance of getting the info you need.

I can recommend Smilek's Car Care in Cuyahoga Falls.

3934 State Road. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223. Work Phone: 330-929-6020.

They did some work for me and I trust the owner.

BTW I have a timing belt for a 1.8 turbo that I can let you have cheap.

Yurko: Thanks, I never even thought of VW Vortex!

Sukhoidave: Thanks for the recommendation! The Falls isn't far from where I work, so that would be fine. As far as the timing belt goes, let me know how much and when I could pick it up. When I take my car in, I'll let them know you sent me!
