Default boost gauge

ok, thinking of getting a boost gauge. not sure if i want it on the steering wheel(teaching my GF to drive and she has to have the steering wheel all the way up and forward) or not. are there any other options as to boost gauge placment? where do i source my pressure signal from?(pics are essential, still not used to all of the valves/hoses/thingamajigs under the hood) wheredo i run the hose from the engine bay?

I think that you can also mount it on the A-pillar, but i think that it is harder to get to than the dash.
