Cool A very important Solenoid!!!!

After a month of research I found that my new beetle 1.8 T 2000 has a "valve for camshaft adjustment" (N205) it is a solenoid located on right side of engine.
I found that one wire is cut form mine and i dont find it. So my bug is very slow.

Can somebody help me with an electrical diagram to where the two wires need to be connected? Only I know one is positive and the other negative but not to where they need to be connected.

Is your engine code APH?

Talking APH engine

Yes my beetle engine is APH. Today I make a test connecting 1 terminal to positive and the other terminal to negative and the solenoid made a click. I turn on my beetle and connect it again, when the solenoid activates the engine makes an awful noise at top (inside) like hiting something, and my beetle lost totally the time. I turn of my beetle and turn on and it didnt accelerate, after a couple of minutes it becomes normally. I think the last owner disconnects it.
I want to connect it again but I dont know where because ther are no wires, and like to open where is the solenoid but I dont have a diagram.

I believe your engine might be a replacement from a newer VW possibly AWV. Maybe just your head was changed? Your 2000 doesnt use this solinoid, and It's just for smog reasons. You shouldn't make any more or less power with it. Don't mess with it.

Default P0342

I have the following code, and my beetle is slow at the beginning and in an up road. In high speed works very fine but if I want to pass a car and accelerate... is a hard work for my beetle.
Where do I see physically the engine code?

Code: 16725----P0342

P0342 is camshaft position SENSOR circit low. You have a bad Cam Sensor. It's on the side of the head by the timing belt.

the head or engine don't really matter. if you have an APH ECU then it runs the engine like an APH, even if it's an AWV.

Default ECU model

How do I know which model of ECU do I have? I know that my car is APH because of the car invoice. But how can I know if the ECU correspond to the engine I have?

look at the part number on the ECU. it's under the upper dash panel on the driver side; basically adjacent to the cabin air filter.
