2001 Turbo Car Problem...Maybe?
I recently bought my 2001 Beetle and I am loving it! Of course it is the 1.8 Turbo. When I start my car and the turbo heats up, it starts making a knocking noise. Is this correct or do I have a problem on my hands? Any advice will help!! Thanks

Still a problem, or not?
It is a small ticking noise, not a knock as I previously stated, it seems to be associated with the turbo. It sounds external (not like a lifter or a tappet)and only starts after the engine is warma and up to operating temperature.
Sorry in the delay, been gone on work trip!
