Please i need your advice about Beetle 1.8

hello everyone

i am going to buy Beetle has 1.8 Turbo (year 2000)

but i am worry about the accomplishment of the engine becuse it has turbo. and i dont want face some problem with the engine in general. Also,the auto transmtion as well..

and i still need your advice

i would suggest having a qualified mechanic look at it, but you have to remember its an 8 yr old car. generally alot of the problems that come up with 2k's are minor, but there is a risk of some major too, timing belt and waterpump come to mind.

actully it has around 90K miles

and wich make me afride from the car because i had bad experince with europen cars. it was with peguet 307 cuope '05 and it has lots of problems even when it was under the warrenty.


and sorry about the mistakes that i have in my langauge

can you get a copy of the service record? it should have a new timing belt and hopefully a new water pump, if the car was taken care of they will last a long time, there are a few on here over 200k miles on them, mine is at 136k miles and still runs really well
