Default 2000 New Beetle 1.8 Turbo

I have been working on this one on and off for a year now.
This last item happened 3 weeks ago; at first it had codes stating that the number 3 and 4 cylinders were miss firing and random miss fires.
Other codes were ignition control circuit open cylinders 1 and 2. After installing new coils all codes went away for 1 week.
Then I had the same codes come backthis time I switched number 1 and 4 coils. The codes for theses two went away but I still have the ignition control circuit open on 1,2,and 3 cylinders.
I also checked the injectors and found that number 1 wasn't working. According to my noid lights it is receiving the signal but not working.
I pulled off each injector connection and found # 1 wasn't working.
With all these different codes is it possible that the cam shaft sensor is barely working or could it be in the PCM.
Thank you
God Bless The U.S.A.

I can't beleive it as of today 108 viewings and not 1 reply!
Luckly I did more research and replaced one of the new coils ( it was only 2 weeks old). I also removed the new double platinum spark plugs ; and installed NGK 6458 plugs.
Then trimed back the wiring harness on each of the coil wiring
plug leads(found 2 wires with cracks in them and taped them up.
Now it runs very smooth.
I was hoping for at least one reply you folks have been quite heplful in the past.
Respectfully

I just did a search on injectors because after 234,000 km I'm sure it's a good idea to install new ones.

So, could you or anyone else please tell me where the injectors are on the 1.8T and how to change them??

Thanks, Howie
