Default Motorized Headlamps..?

I have a 2002 Turbo-S and I have repeatedly seen reference to "motorized headlamps", yet I can find no evidence of this on my car.

The context seems to be some sort of auto-leveling feature for the beams, but when I pop out the housings - which I've had to do a couple of times to change bulbs, I don't see anything that looks like motors or linkages or anything.

Can someone tell me what this is all about..? Perhaps almost-but-not-quite-included on my model?

Thanks.

I have OEM self-leveling bi-xenon HID headlights, the Euro's use a 'level them yourself' combo dimmer switch. Click my sig for pics of 'em.

Ahh thanks guys... It's one of the missing pieces I've been trying to learn about HID...

Do you happen to have any suggestions for me to convert my OEM halogen H1 headlights to HID..?

Thanks.

Bump from the dead...

I remember seeing _SMG say on here somewhere that it is possible to add the motors to regular turboS headlights.... Anyone know if its possible for regular beetle headlights too?
