I have some experience with one... But I'm not sure if it does boost. Its like a mini trip computer. Miles until E, instant mpg, and maybe a few others iirc.

But boost.... I'm not sure.

It plugs into the OBDII port, I know that the ScanGauge will measure manifold pressure but does the 1.8T have the output? here is a list of the data it will readout:

Fuel system loop status
Cost per mile
Intake air temp
Water temp
Fuel pressure
Gallons or liters per hour
Ignition timing
Engine load
MPG, KPG, MPL, LHK
Miles or kilometers per hour
Manifold absolute pressure
RPM's
Throttle position
Voltage

On the 1.8t the scangauge doesn't readout boost. Plus, the gauges' refresh rate doesn't seem like it's quite quick enough to keep up with how fast boost changes through the rev range. Example: if I set my scangauge to display engine rpm, and mash the throttle, the rpm readout always lags behind by a significant amount.

Sacngauge is best for fuel economy, and like usages.

(oil pres., fuel pres., don't work)
