alternator help
OK so I searched but couldn't find the answer. I have an 02 turbo s with a bad alternator. It has a Valeo 120a in there stock. I go on websites and they say Bosch can be used as a replacement. I was wondering if this was actually true or would I have to buy the Valeo replacement. Thanks!

I don't see why not, as long as it is the same size/shape and amperage. I don't think there is anything special about that engine, mine came with a Bosch stock so I'd say your fine.

you can also use a 90 amp from a different 1.8t, or even a vr6 iirc. they all bolt up.
