Default Air Conditioning Recharge HELP!

I was trying to recharge my air conditioning today. I had the can hooked up to the low side, and turned on the car and the air conditioning. It was obviously not pulling out of the can becuase the compressor was not running.

I found the sensor for the unit that tells it not to turn it when it is too low. It is a three prong plug. on two prong plug cars you can just bridge the plug and kick on the compressor. I'm not sure which to bridge to force the compressor on. Can anyone help.

Okay i figured it out.. Fuse number 5 actually controlls the air conditioning and the brake indicator. on the fuse box diagram it says see manual.

This solved my problem with this and my other question about the brake indicator being on.

Default Another fuse...

Fuse # 16 controls the A/C clutch indirectly through the comfort control module with fuse # 5. But, there are several other things in our cars that could prevent the A/C from activating too. One is the A/C pressure switch. It's located close to the firewall on the refrigeration circuit. It has 4 terminals and can be removed without discharging the system. Terminal 1 and 2 is for the A/C clutch while 3 and 4 are responsible for turning on the 2 main radiator fans. This pressure switch is also connected to the temp. sensor for the cooling system that is located on the inside lower portion of the radiator. Draining the coolant is required if this sensor is replaced... Always use G-12 anti-freeze from VW if you want your cooling system to function for a long time. Good Luck, JK
