Default My beetle hates me also!

I had paid my beetle off in the beginning of November. Is a 99 1.8 5speed. Took a 5 year loan and bought it in 2000 with 19K miles. well 2 weeks after it was paid off the transmission "exploded". The mechanic showed me the tranny and it truly had exploded. All fluid leaked out, all gears were disintegrated.

I have had soooooooo many problems with my beetle. replaced the cooling system completely $2000, tranny and new clutch $2000. The car's worth like $4500. I feel like I'm in a hole. Whatever though, what are you gonna do? that's life.

Yeah i hear ya we roll off the lot after getting the 01 GLX Turbo . Clutch goes out not 300 miles later. Take in mind that this thing only has 43,000 on it. I took it back and told them it had to be fixed. Or they were going to take the car back and give us our 3200 deposit. They dragged there feet after a week of it sitting there they finally approved a VW dealer to fix it a 1200 dollar repair. Wow i am glad they did. I would have been pissed but hey it's life i have so much going on right now it isn't even funny.

Know issue with the dipstick tubes, I am on my 3rd one in 103K. My luck on my first NB was it got paid off and 3 weeks later was totaled.

Knock on wood *knock knock* my alt is still running strong, but a have a 200 amp on the shelf I am waiting to put in.

With the ARS and battery light coming on cold be a number of things. Belt slipping, bad MAF sensor, sensor hooked or wrong or not plugged in at all. If you can post the error codes if you get them.
