Same as mine, not a big deal. Send your head to Frank Irving for a rebuild.

The only valve groves that you need to worry about is the one in the middle. When you are "sanding" the valve grove from the piston head, be sure that you have a good vacuum cleaner. You are working like you are a Dentist; vacuum suction in the left hand, sanding implement in the right hand. This is to ensure that particles do not get between the cylinder wall and the piston.

Do not use any power assisted tools; this is a hands only job.

Dremel Kit tools that I used.

Get that head taken care of,clean those Ps&Cs assuring there's no hairline cracks, and you should be in good shape

-A new head gasket wouldn't hurt.

We did not have the right tool to take off the bolts but he made it work. What size "star" tool does it take?

I wasn't there when he took them out. They top looks likes like you need some kind of star shaped screw driver.

I think they were the ones that were used to hold down the head.

Be sure you get new head bolts, DO NOT Re-USE any head bolts, they have a tendency to snap off.
