Your local dealership is probably the best place due to shipping costs.

But alternatives would be
Parts4vws.com and Parts4Audis.com - Coolant 1.5 Liter Bottle OEM Pink / Purple G12

GermanAutoParts.com
GermanAutoParts.com

Be sure to use DISTILLED water when you set your mixture. Tap water contains harmful minerals.
3L undiluted should be enough to fill the coolant system from dry. (maybe 1.5L undiluted, I'm not sure)

We have similar issues and are going to have to order from germanautoparts.com or ecstuning.com. We have called all local car dealerships and mechanics and have not found any g12 coolant.

Have you called the VW dealer? They should have it. G12 is a VW/Audi specific coolant.

G12 is designed for the VW coolant system. If you do a full flush, then put in the generic coolant its ok, but DO NOT mix coolants. G12 does not play well with others.

I would personally only stick with VW fluids. But again, if you want to use generic coolant, then make sure you do a full, thorough flush. Mixing coolants can cause a nasty brown sludge to form and clog your coolant system.
