Default Can anyone I.D. which hose this is that cracked?

... after going 'round a turn sharply.

I think, "Hmm. That probably isn't good."

I get home, and discover I'm ~ 1.3 quarts low. My bad.

While I've got the hood open, is there anything obvious for
a) the car "stalling then starting" while at freeway speeds
b) the car not starting (easily) when warm
c) the check wallet light is on more than off. but it's off. sometimes.

Well, I don't think this hose is supposed to look like this!

Can anyone I.D. the hose, and is that a simple replacement (and the fact I'm asking should give you a gauge) or something I should just have a shop do.

Also, there's what looks to me like a bicycle tube "patch" on a hose near it that's lifting up... is that normal(ish) ? I've never had work done to the car that to my knowledge would have "patched" a hose.

Get the car scanned for the codes that are triggering the CEL. Those will likely help diagnose some of your other issues.

Right. I shall.

But my immediate concern is the cracked / disjunct hose at this point; the thrust of my post is: what is the hose that's cracked called?
