Default Changing Fuel Filter

I purchased a new fuel filter today at the stealership, but they cant seem to agree whether it a screw on fitting, or if it uses hose clamps.
At any rate, has anybody else changed the filter on their car? What type of clamps??????

I have a 2000 NB and my filter was changed last week. Its basically a clip on hose. Just look at the hose clamp and you should be able to see where to push it to release.

Changed filter, removed snowbox, some improvement. Then I unhooked the battery for a bit, then reconnected it, whoa momma! What a difference, but then no...right back to it's old self. So I'm thinking the MAF is bad. I unplugged it and there was no change to the way the engine ran so it must be the culprit. Does anybody know how much a new MAF is?
