Smile 2001 New Beetle 1.8T Sport

I have a 01 New Beetle Sport (Turby) with 119,350 miles that is in showroom condition. I bought it from the original owner with all of the service records and everything was up to snuff (Timing, water pump etc). I need to know what the 120,000 service requires and if there is anything else I should be doing or need to watch for on Turby. Thanks for all of your help!! I want my little dude to run forever! Best car I have owned to date.

The Belt was done at 84K with all the seals, water pump, tensioner and belts. All oil changes have been done at 2600K.

Synthetic oil? If so, the change interval is far too frequent. If not, you need to get synthetic in there.

Premium gas?

Those are two biggies that are musts for a 1.8T.

I run synthetic oil in the car yes. I get conflicting stories on synthetic burning up and actually "bonding" to the turbo because it heats synthetic oils up to hot... But also I have heard that they are great. Both from reputable VW Service Centers and a local VW guy I see for little things. All three also said premium gas (although called for) was not needed... I put premium in my car at Chevron still but was told and am continuously told that it doesn't make a difference. Everything about this little beetle has thrown me for a loop, but I love every second of it.
