Wont go into first or reverse gear! HELP!!!
2000 vw beetle 1.8 turbo (manual transmission)
She was working fine yesterday, and then today when I was trying to back out it just wouldn't go into reverse  I really hope it is not the clutch! Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be??

Shift linkage is where I would start.

I sometimes have this problem too. I found that if you let the car roll slightly by either shifting your body weight or just letting it roll the gear will go right in.
