Default EPC light and wouldn't start this morning - Throttle Control

I just got my 01 back from having transmission and brakes replaced 2 weeks ago and now the EPC light came on. It actually came on a few days ago, car went cut off, but restarted. Didn't start up right away yesterday but started fine after work. This morning - no luck! Hoping it will start when I get home so I can take it to be checked out.

Any suggestions on what it could be? I seriously wish this bad luck cloud would leave me alone!

Thanks for your help!
T~

Edit - So it appears it's the Throttle Control causing the EPC light to come on. Now to find someone who can fix my car without charging a fortune.

Worst case scenario, you need a new throttle body. You need to check the Throttle Valve Control Module G186 as it contains these sensors; any of these could be bad or going bad or just need a good cleaning.

1) Throttle Position Sensor G69
2) Throttle Drive Angle Sensor G188
3) Throttle Drive Motor

Thank you. I was given the number for a repair guy by that isn't too far away (Easley). Hoping she keeps working for me until I can get her to him. Usually, if I turn the car off then back on the light goes out and it drives fine for the rest of the day. It's come on again a few times, car turns off but will restart. Now just to coordinate with my son's class schedule and I can drive his car while mine gets repaired.

I really appreciate the helpful advice. This forum is awesome.

Woo hoo! All better. DJ cleaned the throttle control and Bella seems to be running just fine now! We celebrated this morning by cranking up the itunes so it felt like we were having a party on the drive to work.
