Ok so get this...

The turbo is functioning, i heard it spooling up around 2.8-3k rpm and it sounds normal, but the power seems off, maybe because i babied it the past week but i ran the codes and have nothing coming up but my ongoing SAI issue.

im going to get the codes checked again at lunch today, but maybe i should take it for a real drive before then so i can get a feel for how it is acting. the engine responds fine, the turbo seems like it might be sputtering a bit or maybe just trying to set itself right again, i dunno.

if anyone has any insight on this issue i would greatly appreciate your input.

Status update: My cruise control had gone out for some reason when this whole issue happened. it would not turn on no matter how much i tried. i just tried it again while driving to lunch and it worked fine. turbo seems to run fine as well. but i feel like i shouldn't be this optimistic.
