Default Vag-Com Nub

So, I got my Vag-Com about a week ago and I'm scanning my car, btw which a 1.8TS, and I get a good test connection through my COM port and every time I try to run the codes I get a message "No Response from controller." Is this because I'm not making good contact at the connection? or am I doing something wrong software wise? Please, anything. I got this thing for a reason.

My first thought / question is do you have an aftermarket radio installed?

If so look at this...

Ross-Tech: VCDS: Afterrmarket Radio Problem

What Vag-Com adapter did you by? and what interface are you using?
These questions might help us give you some answers...

What kind of cable did you get? What does it say on it? What software did you install? Ross Tech has 2 different pieces of software. Are you able to do a Port Test? If so, what are ALL of the results?

Registered customers of Ross Tech can get over the phone support during the work week as well.

This might be a stupid thing to ask, but you are doing this with the ignition on, right?

KII-USB and yes, I have an aftermarket installed. I tried it with the harness disconnected and it still said the same thing.
