Running Bad
Hi. last week I took my beetle out and never had any trouble but on the way home. all dash lights came on, it happen so fast I did not pay attention to see any thing else. I was only a mile from home. I parked it and then went out a couple days ago to see if I could figure out what was wrong with it and the battery was dead, the battery is a brnad new, 2 month old, red top optima. I got it crunk up and its idleing up and down constantly. I hooked my code reader up to it and it gives me a code of 5. Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Are you saying you get 5 codes or the code is 5? 5 isn't a valid code. You should be getting a Pxxx code if its a generic OBDII code reader.
