Hi guys, have the abs /traction light on. pulled the codes and got a right rear abs sensor. Went to the dealer and got a new replacement.
Here's where I'm stuck. I had to use a punch and a hammer to get the old one out as it is seized. The new one needs to go in smoothly I assume, so that means I have to do a lot of sanding of the opening to get it in. I see that the standar repair wants you to remove the rear hub, but I'm trying to see if anyone has done it differently? Maybe with a dremel with a flexible extension? Looking for ideas please, thanks!

I guess not a lot of guys doing this themselves. I ended getting a flexible attachment for my drill and using a driver that I could fit a dremel sanding drum on. I was able to do reach it successfully from the sides without taking off the hub. It took me about 15 min of sanding to get it all done. Reset the code with VAG and it's all good now.
