I'm trying to figure out what I should ask for my limited edition. It's in good shape, it's just been driven and has a little over 100k miles on it. I have only seen the prices of some that were sold four years ago and with much lower mileage. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You've come to a good place, perhaps the best basis for comparison on here, and sold recently, belonging to Member Evanrude, http://newbeetle.org/forums/members/evanrude.html , was his beloved "Sting".
The car's life was well documented and without question received pampered attention throughout his ownership. I don't think there is a member on here, with a passion for CCs, who would not have bought Sting in a moment, given it was logistically feasible and within their finacial reach. Stings life and sale, including the sale price (I believe it is in this same thread) can be followed here - Evanrudes 2002 1.8T DYCC I'm sure Stephen (Evanrude) will see the 2002 DYCC in your Title and immediately put in his comments. He's here daily, but usually late in the evening. The longer you are willing to hold out for a good price, and the better you market the car, pics, venues, etc, will determine the ultimate price you may be able to receive. There is a good market for these cars, but it is limited. Kepp in mind this is absolutely THE worst time of year to be selling a car. Everyone is pre-occupied with the Holidays and where there financial resources are being directed. Best of luck with your sale. Hope to see you put up some pictures on here. Postscript: Gather as much possible documentaion and servicing records that you can find, Knowledgeable buyers will want to see and have this documentation. And IF the timing belt and water pump have not been done, expect to forgo about $700-$1000 to cover the cost of the new Buyer paying to have this done. MORAV
