remote not working to get into car, alarm going off
my keyless door entry thing didnt work the other day, got new batteries in today, it still doesnt work. so i cant do anything to my car without the alarm going off when i try to unlock the doors and when i try to turn the ignition on and off , the alarm goes off. do you think that the circuit board in the key thing is broken ? how much to get a new one? otherwise, why cant i get into my car and drive it without the alarm going off? this hasnt happened before. can anyone help?

Unlocking the door manually should disarm the alarm. Is it about 30 seconds or more between unlocking and starting the car? If so, then you have a failed microswitch in your door most likely, which is very common and has nothing to do with your keyless entry.

Search around here, there are a number of threads. Can cost as much as $450 at the dealer or as little as nothing if you DIY and it just needs to be soldered. Read up on the threads I'm linking here. It can be time consuming to DIY but much, much cheaper. Very common failure.
