strange hissing sound

Yesterday I got into a small accident with my 2000 beetle "Vader", I heard a hissing sound for about 2 hours before it stopped and sadly I can't get my hood to open

I also looked under the bumper and some type of "cover?" had come loose and there was one drop of oil.... anybody know what it is? Maybe i'm not searching right

Hissing could have come from punctured radiator or a/c condensor. Panel is probably the plastic tray under the engine compartment.

The oil can be from intercooler, filter oil cooler or oil pan

you won't have any definate answers until you can get the hood open and take a look.

could be one of your vacuum lines came apart or loose on impact. That's what I had in mine the last time i heard an air hissing sound coming from my engine. Good luck man.
