Well, if you haven't done the Timing Belt Service you are sitting on a ticking time bomb.

Other than the TB, most things are "if they aren't broke don't fix 'em" kind of things. I figured around 100k I'd be looking at a suspension overhaul but mine was still solid at that point (even after 12 years!).

I have already done the TB/WP around 80K miles so thats not necessary. I guess you could say I'm doing maintenance for the amount of miles. I do, however, need to replace most of the front/rear suspension components just so they dont start to fail on me, but that will come around tax time when I can afford to spend the money.

Hi
I commend you on your attitude. Quite a few will get their feathers ruffled because of wear and tear issues on their car. You're taking good care of your beetle- it's gonna continue to take good care of you

Here's to many more happy miles and quick fixes

Smile 100k miles?

you might want to look into replacing the shocks and struts their usually shot on a high mileage car. The secondary air pump will go out real soon also. Rule of thumb is replace your serpintene belt every 3 years even if it looks still in good condition. good luck man
