Default Cutting out on the highway

I'm really just curious, as this isn't a huge issue right now. My car cuts out when driving on the highway, usually going 65-75. Sometimes happens when the cruise control is on, sometimes when it's off and I'm going a constant speed, and it doesn't seem to matter how full my tank is. It's never happened on acceleration, just at constant speeds. There is no loss in power to the accessories, the rpms don't jump or anything, and the loss in power lasts maybe 2 seconds then it picks back up like it never happened. It's very random, maybe happens once every few weeks for the last 5 months or so. It feels like a fuel related problem to me. Should I start preparing for my fuel pump to take a poop on me? I'm thinking about replacing the fuel filter just in case that's the problem. It's so intermittent it's going to be hard to find a solution.

Off the top of my head; you have a sensor going out and/or one that needs to be cleaned and/or a vacuum loss of some sort.

Crank positioning sensor is always a possibility.
