Jetta and Golf Turbos

it must be a stupid question but its worth asking, is the k03s turbo in the 180 Jetta and golf any different to the ones in the beetle?? if I buy a 180hp Jetta/Golf k03 turbo can I install it in my beetle with no problem ? thanks for your help....

I'm not 100% sure but I believe they are the same as a K03s that are stock on a 2001 and up beetle turbo. If you can find one for a good deal it may be a worth while mod. Keep in mind that the way that the ecu is programmed on a golf/jetta and larger injectors are what help get the higher HP numbers. So don't expect to see 180hp by just swapping out the turbo from K03 to K03s. A better upgrade would be a K04 if you are looking for more power.

hey yeah I have a 99 beetle, im planing to buy the k03s turbo and 315cc injectors plus programing, I have everything allready planned out, I just need to know if the turbo from a jetta/golf 180hp is a direct bolt on to my car....

Gotcha. Sounds like you are headed in the right direction. I'm not totally sure on the turbo part but someone will chime in with a for sure answer.
