Got it done earlier today. In case anyone has to replace this on their APH...
The engine speed sensor is located on the bottom of the engine (front) where the block mates to the transmission. There's a 10mm bolt that holds the sensor itself to the block, and the pigtail is about 3' long that extends to the wiring harness just below the intake manifold behind & underneath the air injection pump. It was really hidden on ours, and I had to move a bunch of wires out of the way to get access to it. You're basically looking for the only white plug in that entire rat's nest. The plug itself is mounted on a bracket that can be removed by taking off the 10mm bolt. On this website, they list it as a 'Reference Sensor', and this is what it looks like. http://69.0.158.19/live/F601087674BOS.JPG
