Default DIY Oil & Filter change a snap

I just completed our 5K mile oil and filter change in about 25 minutes. If you've thought about doing it yourself, don't hesitate.
I used the Pella 6000 (will NEVER do an oil change the old fashioned way again), to quickly extract the oil, and a regular filter wrench to swap out the filter. I put in the specified 4.5ltrs of Castrol 505.01 oil and a Mann filter, and dropped off my used oil at a local indie bike shop.

There was no mess, no problems and I saved money. Why pay $$$ for someone to do what you can easily do yourself?

While the important things in life are done laying down - an oil change isn't one of them.

You have now joined the elite few who walk upright, utilize opposing thumbs and do oil changes standing up. Welcome brother.

I use the Pella for my motorcycles and truck also. Why didn't I know about it years ago? I am completely convinced. ChrisC is spot-on. It would be crude to go back to the drain-plug routine.

Sweet. I want one. I'm going to email my bf the link with a big hint that I would love to have it for X-mas. He'd use it just as much as I would!!
