Default Code Reset

I have a question: I need to reset a MAF sensor error that I accidentally tripped the other day fussing around with headlight. Question is, can I use OBDII to generic coder to reset the error or no? Or do I need a VAG-COM? Other than going to Autozone or relying on somone who has the VAG-COM? Is there a way to reset it without using any of the above?

Thanks! Just curious.. what is the connector type called? Is it an industry standard? I am assuming it is an ODBII connector, is it?

si, obd2

fyi, if the code comes back do not erase it if you are gonna go to the dealer to have it checked, once it's erased there is no history of the code saved.

Mucho gracias. Yes, I inadvertantly tripped it so hopefully it won't come back. Thanks again.
