Default fuse 34 10amp, Engine Control Elements, FUSE BLOWS

Fuse 34 10amp, Engine Control Elements keeps blowing on our 2000 TDI 1.9 manual tranny. It causes the turbo not to work. Anyone have any idea what we need to check so we can fix it? Thanks in advance for any help.

Well, obviously it is a wiring problem. When you say it makes the turbo stop working, what are the symptoms? Are there any codes at all?

There are three electrical components I can think of that are integral to turbo operation:

MAF sensor
MAP/IAT sensor
N75 valve

I think the only way to go about diagnosing this, you're just going to have to get in there and check those sensors and the wiring. This is not a common problem at all, I've never heard of it before and I searched TDIclub with no luck. Where are you located? There is a list over on TDIclub of "Trusted Mechanics" who know TDI's...check it as there may be someone nearby who can help you out.

Good luck.
