hi i just bought a bug about a month ago and i luv it to bits!!! just wondering when we need to get the timing belt changed and how oftern do we need to get the 1.9 TDI serviced.?#thanks

60-80k is when it should be done.

depending on year of the car, its 60-100k.. then it also depends on what parts you put on..

we def need more info to properly answer your question..

TDI Club <--- the best [TDI-related] link you'll ever click! (Check out the TDIFAQ and the forums.)

Not that this forum isn't good too, but the focus here is more on the "lifestyle" aspects of the NB -- styling, community, stuff like that. TDIClub, on the other hand, is much more mechanically-oriented. You'll find that most of us Beetle TDI owners are active on both sites.
