Which intercooler fits?

Hello All,
Had an unfortunate incident with a light pole the other morning, and was wondering which SMIC from other model VW's will fit my 2000 tdi NB? Any sources? Possible chance for upgrade? What does an after market unit cost/who makes them?

Tyrolsport is the only aftermarket SMIC (that I know of) that is made specificaly for the NB TDI. Others will work but require welding/modification.

Where do you live?
There is a couple auto-shops that can make custom piping and fit an FMIC into your car for around 500-600$.

Your cheapest bet is to find one off of a tdi nb. the jetta's and golfs are a little diffrent and require modification.

Check the classifieds (tdiclub, vortex, ebay)

Sorry I'm not certain, but I think the intercooler from the 1.8t is diffrent.

I replaced mine with an oem one from boraparts for about 200(included shipping and no tax). I had to call aaron to see if he had any left since you can't purchase them off his site. It took about an hour's labor to put it on from a shop. If you decide on a stock one, it was the best deal.
