Default HELP!!!! Limp Mode????? Maybe???

Ok 2 weeks ago while driving my 2000 VW Beetle home I lost power. It felt like the Turbo kicked out. The car would not go above 55 and sucked fuel like crazy. When I checked out the intake it was carboned up big time. We took the intake off and cleaned it out and pulled the turbo and rebuilt it. We also did an EGR delete with a Race pipe. We got it all back together and it is acting the same way. The car throwing 5 codes. I know 2 of them are not the issue. P0380 Glow plug. (the car has throw this code for years on and off.) P1441 EGR Vacuum (I expected this with the Race Pipe.) The new ones are P1549 Turbo Waste Gate Regulating Valve), P1144 Mass Air Sensor (We put a new one on and it acted the same.) P1252 Cold start Injection timing Solenoid. We have been playing with the timing a little just to see if it would make any difference. We have also changed the fuel filter, Put new injector nozzles in and had them pop-tested. Both of these were also done after the issue started just as preventive maintenance.
Any Ideas?? I just don’t want to start swapping sensors at $150 a pop. Any help would be great!!!!

the only time my car went into limp mode was when the turbo veins were clogged. You said you rebuilt the turbo right? Cleaned out all the veins? I would think it probably has something to do with the Waste Gate then. I mean, you pretty much changed everything that would possibly cause that limp mode issue. A CEL should be on due to the EGR delete, atleast until you get a tune. keep us posted.

Yes the turbo was taken all the way down cleaned and many new parts installed. It looked like it was pulled off the shelf when my buddy brought it back. He has been rebuilding them for years.

When I say limp mode. I will explain it this way. When I start the car and take off it feels great up to what ever RPM and then you feel it kick out. To me it felt like the turbo kicked out. The you would have no power at all until it was shut off and started again.

Hope that helps explain it a little better.
I am waiting to have the ECU tuned (EGR eliminated and Power.)until I get it running right. I will also install the Snow Max-Milage kit at that time also.

After doing a lot of research I am finding a bunch of info where poeple with the same types of mass code that ended up fixing the problem by replacing the ECU. Anyone else out there with this issue?

P0380 Glow plug. (the car has throw this code for years on and off.)
P1441 EGR Vacuum (I expected this with the Race Pipe.)
P1549 (Turbo Waste Gate Regulating Valve),
P1144 Mass Air Sensor (We put a new one on and it acted the same.)
P1252 Cold start Injection timing Solenoid.

Found that red fuse #34 was blown. But did not get a chance to figure out if that is the issue yet do to the fact that I could not get it to start and needed to walk away before I broke something.
