Question TurboCharger

Can you add one to the 1.9 TDi

Anyone done that before

Are you asking if the stock turbo can be replaced/upgraded? Yes. There are people here and on TDI Club who have done it.

look into the forums over there as well, there is a posting over there somewhere from i believe an engineer at garrett about the vnt 15/17/22 upgrades. Unless you are going to upgrade your exhaust, chip and tune your 1.9 you won't get anything from the upgraded turbo. Search around over at tdiclub they have great info there.

Yep, originally i was going to have it chipped/remapped, but i understand it is better to put the hybrid turbo and exhaust on first then get it remapped. Then read somewhere about a supercharger. So have ditched the hybrid turbo option
