Default tdi tuning in Dallas TX?

I am looking for someone who can tune my TDI in the Dallas area. I have recently had the timing belt and wp replaced and plan on purchasing larger nozzles at a later date. i was told to have the tune done first. Any input would be appreciated.

Do you know what tune you want? Most of the big name tuners have a list of dealers on their website.

Not sure, would like copious amounts of power when requested and still great mileage when driven easy.

Jeff Robertson at Rocketchip.com/
He's the best!

He can be contacted by email and he's on the TDI Club and this site known as JRMONSTER. The RC 1+ is what he did for me. Big difference in power and torque.

Nozzles first, then tuning so that the tune can take advantage of the nozzles. Rocketchip, TD Tuning and Malone all offer flash loaders (to buy or rent) so you can get tunes by email.

The sweet setup for power and the best fuel economy seems to be RC2 and .205 nozzles. With the right driving style, its possible to get up to 58-60 mpg.

For Dallas area I would recommend contacting Brian and talking with him...

Injector Pump started to leak last week, contacted Brian through the TDI Club because he was recommended as the "Dallas Guru". He turned out to have his own shop. Evening hours and was able to get to me faster than I could get to him. (he suggested Friday, I had to wait until my schedule would allow on Monday.)

3 hour job only took a little less than 2 hours, with me chatting his head off the entire time. He also has a TV with Netflix, lots of DVD's and video game console if you would rather wait in the office.

Turns out he was one of the first mechanics at Vdubs Only in Plano. For health and financial reasons he quit and opened this shop in September. Works 5pm to 10pm usually, but if he has a back log of work and feels up to it he will work earlier in the day.

Was working on a Timing Belt and tuning a Malibu. He is a TDI guy, but works on all models of VW's, knows the idiosyncracies of the 1.8t.

Just drop him a line or give him a call if you are interested in checking out what he can work on.

He was very honest about the way dealerships work. Which was refreshing to hear.

He also is one of the pioneers of the Automatic to Manual swaps! Can do it for the cheapest price I have seen $3000.

I know I will be back!
