02 TDI Beetle TDI no start
I have a buddy that loaned his beetle to someone and when he got it back he was told that it wouldn't start.
Well battery was dead, so new battery went in. Now it will crank just fine, but will not fire. Any thoughts of where to start? I am very familiar with the Ford 7.3 deisel, but never touched a VW TDI Thanks!

ask if whoever he lent it to filled the tank wont be the first time someone put gas in a diesel tank

Relay 109, air in fuel lines, bad injection pump, timing belt broken=listed from minor to major.

Does the glow plug light come on when he first turns the key? If so, Relay 109 is ok. If not, then I would be changing out the relay
