2001 vw tdi

Hello
Problem with the TDI. Pulled up to have tires rotated, mechanic could not start car. Engine cranks, but will not start. All lites are working properly. Relay 109 is working properly. The fuel shutoff is not getting 12 volt. I suspect this is the problem, no 12 volt, valve cannot open to give fuel to the injectors. VW indicated relay 109 sends power to another device, which I would assume would send that 12 volt to the injection pump. I have been looking on-line for wiring diagrams for this car, but no luck. Strange---car is running just fine. Shut it off and it will not start. Problem is no fuel, but need to find out why the fuel shutoff solenoid is not getting power. I even bypassed that by disconnecting the wire on the solenoid, then applied 12 volt directly to the solenoid. Still no start. Cracked fuel lines and cranked engine--still no fuel.
Anybody else had this happen?

Just for giggles, make sure the choke valve isn't stuck shut. Remove the rubber hose from the intake and see if the [NOT A THROTTLE BODY BUTTERFLY VALVE] is in a closed position. It should be open to allow air flow to pass through.

You mean the anti shutter valve that is part of the EGR valve.
