I have been going to local NY car shows for many years. This one is the best on Long Island in my opinion. It is well run and organized, the Host Club is made up of some really nice guys, with an eclectic assortment of vehicles. The show itself is on the grounds of an Old Gold Coast Estate, which is now a hilly, shaded park that runs down to a beautiful sandy beach. There is also a playground, face painting and games for the kids.

All show cars are parked on grass, under the trees, amongst small bandstands and Gazeebos. During the day there is live music, raffles, food etc...This show is like a picnic event for the local clubs! Most people come with their clubs and friends and hang out together all day!

Last year there was a club that restored old telephone trucks, Corvette owners society, Ferrari Club, "F" Body Association (Camaros and Firebirds), Mustang Owners Club, Shelby Owners Club, LI Hot Rod Association and many more.... BUT NO VWs!

Lets change this this year! If anyone is interested in meeting up before hand, cruising to the show together, and having a picnic at the show, let me know. We need to get our applications in ASAP!
