Hey. My name is JJ and I have been lurking around here quite a bit lately. In March, I purchased a '99 NB GLS TDI. It is far from my first VW/VAG product. Actually it is my eighth. I have wanted a TDI since they first arrived here in the states, but could never afford one until a killer deal came along on my bug. I really didn't want a Beetle, but wanted a TDI so bad that I was willing to deal with it. After owning it for a few months, it has grown on me. I think it is mostly due to the fact that the watercooled VW enthusiast world is curently overrun with MK4 Jettas, Golfs and GTIs. The only thing i dislike is the ridicule i take from my VW friends.
I must say that these forums are really informative and have some great How-to sections. it has been a great help!
