Thumbs up K & N Filter change
I caved in and did it yesterday...I went out and bought a K&N filter for Buddy. The son of one of my employees is the Assistant Manager at a Checker Auto Parts and he gave me a hook up on the K&N air filter, K&N oil filter and cleaner/recharge kit for the air filter plus a 6-pack of Castol GTX 5W-30 oil all for $65.00!! The air filter alone was $65.00 at retail. I am going to Gurnee VW this morning to have them change all of it for me. I will let you all know if I feel an improvement in acceleration and MPG. From what I have been told by others that have dropped a K&N in their 2.0 that they have noticed an improvement. Plus with the price of petro dropping, I have been feeding Buddy 93 octane gasoline and have noticed a difference with that alone.
