Well I just got back to work after having the guys at Gurnee VW install my new air filter, oil filter and change my oil. Like I said, I took all my own stuff in and they hooked me up, including washing the car afterwards. They even allowed me to remain in the service area (safety glasses on) and watch how they did the change so I can do it myself next time. I saw where all the pieces remove for the air filter, the skid plate, oil pan bolt and oil filter; all very straight forward. I will be tackling my next oil change and on my wife's NB solo.
