2001 headlight problem
2001 New Beetle, 2.0, left front headlight is out and DRL's also no longer working. Have replaced the headlight twice, checked the fuses, and removed the DRL relay, also reinstalled the relay...but still having no luck. Have also check the connections at every point and do not see anything that looks suspect. For some time the DRL for the right headlight was on but it too has ceased working. The low beam works on the right side and both High Beams work fine too. Any suggestions from anyone?

Maybe it has something to do with the recall on the brake light switch???
 Myabe there is a central switch you are missing.I feel your frustration, I like my car, but man....problems.

Our 2002 had a similar problem. Turned out to be a broken base
on the light bulb. We went round and round trying to find it. have fun!!
