I need to replace the entire headlampunits in my 98 NB. What "gotcha's" am I going to run into if I try to do it myself?
Are there any previous threads regarding headlight removal and replacement, maybe with sterp by step directions? Thanks in advance. |

I believe there's a how-to on replacing the head lamp bulbs here somewhere. Although it may not sound relevant, it is. To replace the bulbs, you need to take out the whole light assembly.
The biggest problem will probably be the driver side, as the battery is blocking access to the clip holding the assembly in place. Unless you have very large hands (read: Hulk), you should be able to work around this, as removing the battery probably takes longer than figuring out how to get in there without removing the battery. Overall, it should be an easy enough task. Locate the how-to in the technical section, look it over and you should be ready to go.
