Default Need a Timing Belt in the Tri-State or New England area?

As you all know, the timing belt is a key part of your engine. VW reccomends replacement at anywhere between 60-105k depending on year and motor. If the service is not done on time, the belt could jump time or snap, both causing expensive repairs. While it is not a cheap repair to do this key maintenance, it is vital to your car's well-being to do this in a timely fashion. I reccomend that when doing or having someone do this repair, one purchases the "Ultimate" timing belt kit from ecstuning.com. This includes a new timing belt, water pump, tensioner, serpentine belt, and stretch bolts. For the 2.0 motor, I personally reccomend a replacement interval of no more than 80k in between changes. This seems to be the safest maximum mileage you can stretch out replacement.

I am available to do this repair at a reduced cost over the dealer, and can do this repair at your convenience. I can travel to you if you have ample space to work, or alternatively, you can come to me. I have air tools and access to the proper tools to set tension.

My labor rate if you come to me is $200 for the 2.0 motor. If I travel, I factor in a rate of $.15 per mile in addition to the above prices. This covers fuel for my car, shop supplies that I will need to purchase, and any emergency supplies I may need (rags in a box, oil for my air tools, wear/tear on my 1990 Cabriolet, etc.). My rates are fair, and my work comes backed with a warranty that I personally will uphold in writing. I have many personal references that I can provide to you upon request. I am also a certified Volkswagen technician as well.

This is a day job, and while I work speedily, I do not rush this job as it is a key part in your car's lifeline. I prefer to start as early as possible in the morning to maximize daylight hours because I work outside at my house.

I can be reached either thru the private messaging service here or through email at thecheat1206@gmail.com .

Yes he did!

And we got up bright and early and made the two + hour trip down to IKEA in MA and back the next day, Sat.

Not one hiccup and she even felt a bit more responsive.

*Oh and that ticking --- she needed oil J*

Do not hesitate to have Justin do this job for you, you won't be sorry. He is low key and takes his time while being very gentle with your baby.

Princess throughly enjoyed the whole experience!

Do you have a hotline for questions? We are waiting for the kit from metalmanparts.com and John will be doing the install. My car died and the belt isn't turning. I hope all goes well. Ellen
